This hotel is in a fantastic location, just a short stroll from La Rambla. The breakfast was plentiful and delicious. Beware of noise from the street—certainly lively! The air conditioning worked well, though some rooms lacked proper windows. If you're looking for charm and convenience, this place is a solid choice.

All fine, but breakfast quality

i had a great stay at gran hotel barcino. the location was unbeatable, right in the middle of the gothic block, close to amazing restaurants and historic attractions. the staff was incredibly kind and helpful. i loved the breakfast for only 10 euros, and my room was always spotless! the view from my room was just fantastic.

perfect for exploring gothic quarter and nearby parks

I stayed here for 4 nights in early August and was pleasantly surprised by how close it was to the Cathedral of Barcelona and the Picasso Museum, both easily walkable and brimming with history and art that I loved exploring during my city strolls. The breakfast was really delicious – definitely one of the best I've ever had in a hotel.

Heads up, the sound from the nearby Cathedral bells rings throughout the day, which might not be everyone's cup of tea. The lack of comforting touches like a kettle or decent toiletries feels a bit off for a place touting four stars. A minor sewage issue in the shower and some moisture smells in the bathroom also detracts from the charm. Additionally, the breakfast selection feels underwhelming, leaving little variety to look forward to each morning.
